The English classes are held in collaboration with the Akelius Foundation.

The project is implemented within the framework of the Cohesion Policy Program "THALEIA 2021-2027" with EU co-financing.

Akelius is the UNICEF program for the development of linguistic and digital skills of students newly arrived in Italy (NAI), active in primary and lower secondary schools. Through the use of tablets provided to schools and the training of teachers on the blended learning method, the Akelius platform supports the learning of Italian as a second language, promoting more inclusive and innovative education. 
Blended learning (hybrid or mixed learning) is an educational approach that combines traditional face-to-face teaching with the use of digital tools. In the case of the Akelius program, this means that newly arrived students (NAI) learn Italian through classroom lessons with teachers and interactive activities on the digital platform, using tablets. This method makes learning more engaging, adaptable to different levels of competence and promotes greater autonomy in studying.

Through UNICEF, tablets with the AKELIUS platform were delivered to Basic Education students.

Tijuana, B.C. In a joint effort to improve educational quality and promote digital inclusion, the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with UNICEF Mexico, carried out the delivery of tablets with the AKELIUS platform to Basic Education students.
