SEK 236 million to Sudan

During December 2025, Akelius Foundation doubled all donations to six Swedish organizations. The donation from Foundation is earmarked for Sudan.

The preliminary result for the funds raised is SEK 236 Million.

This means that Akelius Foundation will donate SEK 236 million, earmarked for Sudan.

• The Christmas campaign turned out well. We are glad that our partner organizations can now provide even more humanitarian support to Sudan, where one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crisis is yet ongoing,

During 2025, Akelius Foundation expanded its activities with existing and new partners.

To summarize the year, and to emphasize the impact through its partnerships, the Foundation presents some highlights from 2025.

the Akelius-UNICEF partnership continued to expand

UNICEF is one of Akelius Foundation’s long-standing partners.
The partnership started in 2018.

• implemented projects in two new countries, Libya and the West Bank
• operated across 17 different countries
• supported 119,000 new students
• trained 3,099 new teachers
• donated 23,301 analog products

new partnerships with charity organizations

The Foundation also partners with other charity organizations, predominantly supporting them in educational projects within languages and math.

• expanded with 4 new partners
• implemented 12 new projects
• operated across 14 different countries
• started 3 parallel school constructions

the NGO project was very successful

In the beginning of 2025, Akelius Foundation started a project aiming at implementing the Akelius language courses in new countries and cities.

Local staff from Residential has helped the Foundation finding non-governmental organizations, NGOs, that are interested in teaching languages with the Akelius language products.

• implemented 34 new projects, across 16 different countries
• supported 3,041 new students with language learning
• trained 88 new teachers
• donated 1,457 analog products

The project continues until summer 2026.
